About

I’m an ordinary Australian mother, really.

I started to get actively involved in pro-life work a couple of years ago. But I guess I was doing pro-life work before that:  I raised thirteen biological children and helped out with my stepdaughter from time to time. We home-schooled for over twenty years. (If you’d like to learn about how I first became pro-life then click here.)

In 2015, we moved from Tasmania to Victoria, and I’m now studying a theology course at Melbourne’s Catholic Theological College, and hope to teach high-school one day.

I pray outside abortion centres when I can, and have been known to pray inside buffer-zones on occasion.

My Bishop even gave me a blessing before a group of us challenged the Tasmanian buffer-zone law.

How did I come to start a website?

I sometimes ask myself the same thing: I guess I’m just a mother who wanted to promote the culture of life from my home, and a pro-lifer who one day realised that if we want to end abortion, and all the ills that our sick death-culture promotes, then we need to become saints.

Sanctity needs be our priority.

This isn’t to say that we aren’t meant to be active in pro-life work - far from it: it’s an affront to God to think that all we have to do is pray; that is complacency. There is no sacrifice in that, unless someone is a cloistered contemplative, or house-bound through sickness or caught up in the early days of raising a young family.

But prayer should precede our actions, and we also need to be formed in the Faith in order to evangelise, judge legislation, interact with abortion advocates and co-operate with other pro-life people. This is because building the Culture of Life begins at home.

I hope you find something useful on my site - feel free to leave a comment or suggest a topic you’d like to see covered. Or perhaps you have an article you think fits in and would like to contribute.

My site is always expanding, and I often feature interviews and stories from people that I’ve come into contact with from Australia and around the world. I’m active on social media and love to interact online with like-minded people. Please subscribe if you’d like regular updates sent to your inbox. Perhaps you’ll find something to inspire you, or something to share around.

As St. John Paul II said of abortion:

It is difficult to imagine a more unjust situation, and it is very difficult to speak of obsession in a matter such as this, where we are dealing with a fundamental imperative of every good conscience – the defense of the right to life of an innocent and defenseless human being.

We are already doing the most important work - let’s do it in the most effective way.

    • I suppose you could say that we’re ALL on the way to sainthood. Most of us won’t make it, and many won’t even try. But the potential is there for all of us. Thank you for your kind comments, and of course I will pray for you. X.
